Govt.Oriental Higher Secondary School is situated in a remote village. Hills and Valleys are giving a panoramic view. This School is about 8 Km away from Palakkad-Kozhikkode commercial route on the boarder of Malappuram Dt. Govt. Oriental Higher Secondary School established in 1956 by the effort of Malabar District Board with other two Oriental High Schools in Palakkad Dt.The main feature of Oriental SSLC is those who pass oriental SSLC with Arabic are eligible for the post of Jr. Arabic Teacher in LP and with Sanskrit are eligible for Jr.Sanskrit Teacher in UP School. Now the School has Classes from 5th Standard to Plus-Two. In Higher Secondary Section there are three options Science, Commerce and Humanities. The dream of a High School in this region has fulfilled in 1956 by the effort of enthusiastic personalities under the leadership of famous scholar C.N.Ahammed Moulavi.
